Cheer on our runners and help end hunger in Cardiff

Cardiff Half runners at Cardiff Foodbank warehouse

Thirty-five runners will be putting on their Cardiff Foodbank running tops and taking on the 13.1miles in the 2026 Cardiff Half Marathon on Sunday 4 October. Money raised by the runners will help the charity provide meals for people in crisis.

Speaking about the runners, Fundraising Officer, Annie Hillman, said: "This year's charity runners are a fantastic group. Among them we've a father and son, two sisters, three Cardiff Foodbank volunteers, friends, partners and to top it, a perfect combo in fancy dress - one running as a box of cereal, the other a carton of UHT milk! Both these items are put in all our emergency food parcels, so we are delighted to see these ‘breakfast buddies’ will be pounding the streets together.  Not only that, but they will both have shopping lists on the back of their costumes for all those running behind them, and spectating, to see our most needed items!

"We’d love you to get behind all our runners and donate to their JustGiving pages if you can. They're listed below.

Thank you for all your support as together we are making a difference to end hunger in Cardiff."

Here's the line-up of our runners and links to their JustGiving pages.  Please support them if you are able. Diolch!

I wanted to run for Foodbank as, having volunteered for 10 years, I have noticed a shift in the proportion of direct food donations and the need to buy in 'top up' supplies. This coupled with the uplift in demand motivated me to fund raise in order to be able to sustain our commitment to ending hunger in Cardiff.

You may have already supported one (or more!) of our runners' personal JustGiving pages, but we wanted to share another way that you can support this event.  On Cardiff Foodbank's own JustGiving page, you can help support the cost of the charity places and so help us to help more people in crisis.
