Trends
Food Parcels:
Over the past year, Cardiff Foodbank provided 20,158 emergency food parcels to individuals (38% being children), a 5.1% increase from the previous year.Â
This represents a 37% increase compared to 5 years ago.
Â
Donations:
We have seen a 7% reduction in donations over the past year.
We are still heavily reliant on people donating through their local supermarket. We receive 65% of our donations through that method with churches (9%), Corporate groups (8%) and individuals (6%) making up the next largestdonors.
Â
Stock Purchases:
As donations decrease and demand increases, we have had to purchase in stock more regularly to maintain stock levels.
Since the start of 2024, we have purchased over 27.5 tonnes of stock, thats an increase of 175% over the same period last year.
