Cardiff Foodbank launches 'Small donation Big Difference' campaign

Supporting a charity isn't always about grand gestures

Today, we're launching our brand new fundraising campaign, 'Small donation.  Big difference.' 

It's an easy, online way to regularly donate to Cardiff Foodbank.   For just £3 a month, the cost of a coffee, you can help provide a meal for someone in need and bring hope to someone in crisis. https://cardifffoodbank.beaconforms.com/form/405c5c86 

We asked Annie Hillman, our Fundraising Officer, to tell us why she has launched this fundraising campaign for the charity that supports people in crisis in Cardiff.

Speaking about the online fundraiser, Annie said: "I wanted to create a fundraiser that would enable as many people as possible to feel able to sign up and donate £3 a month, which is the cost of a coffee (or less than the cost of a coffee in many places!).  Giving to charity doesn’t have to be a grand gesture, but when lots of people decide to give a small donation regularly, it can make a big difference.

"A regular £3 donation could provide a meal for someone in crisis. We have seen a drop in our food donations over the past year and now have to spend around £6,000 each month to ensure we have enough food for everyone who needs our help."

All donations matter to us, so feel free to give more or less, as you are able.  The form will provide you with options to give £3 a month, £6 a month, £12 a month or “Other” amount monthly.  Alternatively you can make a one-off donation.
