Cardiff Foodbank was thrilled to learn it was to be one of four charities to be supported by Eversheds Cardiff office this year. Support such as this means a lot to the foodbank as the skills and knowledge we can gain through this relationship is invaluable, not to mention the donations of food and funds which stem from this sort of partnership.
Eversheds have a large office in the centre of Cardiff and there are over 400 people work there as we discovered when we attended their meet and greet session over lunch today. It was lovely to have the opportunity to meet with staff and explain how foodbank works as well as discussing ways in which they could support us.
During this session we met a few people who had already volunteered at our warehouse, sorting and dating food. There were lots of comments about how hard the work was and also how well organised the warehouse is which was lovely to hear.
We are already exploring a few opportunities throughout the year to hold joint events and we are very excited to see what this partnership brings, watch this space!
