*** HARVEST APPEAL EXTENDED THROUGH TO CHRISTMAS ***
Thank you to everyone who has already given to our Harvest Van Appeal.We are continuing to see amazing generosity in food donations to support people who need to access our emergency food parcels. In response we are extending our Harvest Appeal through Christmas.
This year we have seen incredible generosity from so many individuals, community groups, local businesses and companies, including Tescos and Morrisons donating food during the Coronavirus pandemic. So at Harvest time this year we asked if you could support us with finance rather than food, as we have sufficient stock to meet the needs of those in crisis for the next few months. We have now extended our Harvest Appeal to run until after Christmas 2020.
We are asking, if you are in a position to support us, whether you could consider making a financial donation towards our appeal to replace our small van which has started to have recurring mechanical problems. Our vans are driven by a team of volunteers, collecting food donations from our partner supermarkets and other locations across Cardiff and delivering food to our client distribution centres throughout the week, so is an essential part of our operation. A new van would mean that we can continue to effectively transport food around Cardiff and so support those in food crisis. It would be great if we could purchase a hybrid or electric option replacement for our van helping us to be mindful of our environmental commitment.
We’re looking to raise around £25,000 and we are asking businesses, churches, schools and individuals if they would be willing to support us with a financial donation this Christmas?
